Idea For A Retro-Style Stuck

Wow. It's been awhile since my last post. Truth be told, earning a living wage will always take priority over any of my personal indulgences. 

Anyway, here's my latest indulgence.

Searching through the film and television archives of the late 1940s and early 1950s, I have yet to find a situation where a daffy but attractive woman, decked out in beautiful costume, gets her strappy high heels caught in something extremely sticky. 

It's the sort of predicament that might befall Marie Wilson, star of the My Friend Irma series.

Or Lucille Ball, of course.

So I sribbled together a set of storyboards.

Stripperella Trapped On A Conveyor Belt

This post took a bit of extra engineering. The copyright holders for 'Stripperella' had barriers set up on both YouTube and Veoh... and probably the other video sharing sites as well. So I had an associate rig the brief video clip to run from a personal web page.

Quite a bit of fuss, considering how brief the stuck scene was.

Gilligan's Island - Mary Ann Steps In Glue - Veooooohhh!

I was trying to post the infamous stuck scene from 'Gilligan's Island' to YouTube, but Time-Warner tagged it for using copyrighted material. The media giant apparently holds the video rights to the series... and has a feature film adaptation in the works.

So I uploaded it to Veoh instead.

The bad news:  you have to watch a commercial first.

The good news: if you're willing to sign up with Veoh and install their player on your Windows PC, you can download the video.
